Well another Year another Texas Death Match Mini Ramp Jam @ 688 Skatepark. This year we decided to throw in an all ages Mini Ramp Jam as well which made it a fun and amazing even. We had all the young guns killing it during the day and the Hesh Sesh at 7pm 30 - 39, 40 and the "Texas Death Match" Like always the event was out of hand there had to be at least 500 people in the park that night. On top of the amazing skating we had The Speed Wobbles rocking on the platform of the ramp while the chaos was going down which made everyone go off even Harder. At one time during the Death match I think all 10 skaters were on the ramp at the same time.
1st Place Chris Lehman - $400 (Spot, Ghetto Ramp, Vans, Sessions, Spitfire, Ninja, Kronik) Chris threw down Gnarly combos. Switch Backside Boneless, Body Jar Reverts, Foot Plant to Fakie off the Railing and to much raw Skating to remember.
2nd Tim Johnson - $200 (Crown) Tim goes higher than everyone all the time. Also I think time gets the Gnarly trick of the day award Frontside Air to nose smash on the railing. Sick Tim.
3rd Jimmy "The Greek" Marcus - $200-(NSS, Kronik, Scum, Lost, Indy, Satori, Goodtimes) The Greek killed it as always. Crazy combos and a hundred trick variations. Also Clearwater Local and Pro Skateboarder.
4th Levi Combs - $100 - This kid had the sickest style on the Ramp, BS Tail Slides across the whole ramp like butter.
5th Matt Giles - $75- (Emerica, Spot, Sessions) - Matt held his own on the ramp taking 5th place and $75 from 688.
6th Max Peeters - $50- (688 Skatepark) - Max has been killing it lately. Getting his hands dirty at the death match is exactly what he needed. Good job Max
7th Tullie Carlton - $50 - (The Burg) St.Petes own Tully killed it. I think he did a Frontside Boneless over The "Greek"?
